Supporting Pupils

Unlocking Potential

Shaping Futures

At LC Marine Mentoring, we excel in providing tailored mentoring and coaching services that drive both pastoral growth and academic success. Using skills and experiences gained whilst serving in the Armed Forces, we aim to empower students to make the best decisions and choices for their future.

Our Services

Individual or Group Mentoring

We aim to empower students to make the best decisions and choices for their future. Our experienced mentors offer practical advice and provide thoughtful responses that often help students see their concerns from another perspective. We offer impartial support, advice and mentoring for students to help with their social, emotional and educational development. We provide a safe and supportive space where students feel heard and understood. Lesson visits can be conducted if requested.

Team Building

We work collaboratively with students to improve and enhance their decision-making skills, personal qualities and overall outlook. Marine Mentoring staff conduct resilience and responsibility training, often through the use of outdoor challenges aimed at developing positive behaviour choices, resulting in an improvement in educational outlook and attitude.

Online Mentoring

Our team can offer online mentoring if preferred, offering the option to have discussions through a format in which students can still feel heard and understood. This methodology allows for immediate intervention and support when required through an on-call system.

Feedback from Professionals and Parents

From my point of view as his mother this
is a fantastic service and I also greatly
appreciate the support being provided
I couldn’t recommend this enough to
parents who need may need some extra
support with their teenagers
— Parent of a Student
Marine Mentoring is a fantastic
service as the team have vast experience
to provide top class mentoring and
create a place where students feel
comfortable to talk. I have seen firsthand the
impact this service provides and how it helps mould students
into great role models. I would
highly recommend Marine Mentoring to
every school.
— Head of Year 7
One of the standout qualities of Marine
Mentoring is their adeptness at forming
meaningful connections with students.
Through personalised interactions and
genuine empathy, they establish trust
and rapport that encourages personal
growth. This relational approach has
empowered students to confide in their
mentor, fostering an environment where
challenges are met with understanding
and support
— Headteacher
My son was referred from a teacher at
his school due to his declining behaviour within his school setting which included his grades. This also included his ability
to form relationships, especially with
those in authority. This experience of
working one to one alongside his Marine Mentor has
helped him immensely…he felt able
to discuss the issues he was facing
often talks about the sessions and the
positive effects of the service provided.
He greatly appreciates the advice
and support given. He has gone from
receiving multiple negative behaviour
points to receiving positive points and is now focused on achieving the grades he needs for his future plans

Feedback from Students

I like the peaceful atmosphere and the way I can talk and let my worries go out of my head. It’s made my mind positive and
ready for all lessons
— A Year 10 student
I think that it has helped me because my Marine Mentor has
helped me to think before I act and if I do
then school is a more positive place for me to do my learning. I do like
school more now because I am making
the right decisions because of my Marine Mentor and I
am not getting told off as much.
— A Year 8 student
I think having a Marine Mentor helps to improve my behaviour
and attitudes because it helps me to understand
the teacher and myself
— A Year 9 student
Having a mentoring session with my Marine Mentor helps me to think about how I could have gone about something in a different way and it helps me to be more reflective. I really enjoy being able to have those conversations about how to manage things and express myself without getting angry or frustrated with myself or others.
